Cooking: Make your own {Bean salsa}
I woke up at 6 this morning and made a new batch of bean salsa. I must say it is SO good! I modified the original ingredients, but will write both for you.
My version-
1 can of black bean
1 can of corn
1/2 Green Pepper
1/2 Red Pepper
1/2 Yellow Pepper
1.5 medium size fresh tomotes
1 stick of fine chopped celery
1/3 medium size onion
1/2 bunch cilantro
3/4 cup apple vinger
1 spoon olive oil
1/2 spoon brown sugar
pinch salt
2 tsp. lemon juice
Lemon juice is less sour than the lime juice. Personally I preferred Lemon juice than lime since I have tasted both my own, but you might like the original.
The original ingredients
2 can of black bean
1 can of corn
1/2 Green Pepper
1/2 Red Pepper
1/2 Yellow Pepper
3 medium size fresh tomotes
1/2 stick of fine chopped celery
1/2 medium size onion
1/2 bunch cilantro
1 cup apple vinger
1 spoon olive oil
1/2 spoon brown sugar
pinch salt
2 tsp. Lime juice
If you make some I'd love to know how do you like it. I highly recommend to get a bag of Mexican style corn tostadas. They are so much better taste than the bag chips. It comes with a large round size then you can break them into pieces. ( The above photo was from one large round corn tostadas then I broke into smaller pieces).

Random: Spring Sunday
What a fabulous day to start with! Sun, warm temperature, and a productive day. It has been so comfortable this weekend. We were able to spend some time outdoor and even open the windows during the day. A little baking was happening yesterday and homemade burgers to go with our Saturday night movie. Even thought I am fighting with spring allergy, but I really am enjoy my school spring break so far. The allergy came down on me rather quick and aggressive this year, since last year I didn't get any. How can this be?
Last night, I finished the backing for the {rainbow houses quilt} due to the time change I was in bed around 3a.m. It does sound late! Whenever I made a large quilt we have to move our furniture around in the living room. I had to hop on the couch to tape on one side of the edge. The quilt is basted with pins ( lots of them) and I will find a day this week to quilt the piece. I haven't decided which pattern to use. I might use simple loops instead. It is measured in 85"x72" ( or bigger). This afternoon Stella has her spring piano recital and it was so cozy and warm recital as always. As you might remember Kim, the piano teacher. Baby Elsie is coming home tomorrow or on Tuesday. They are very excited about her coming home! Elsie is doing very well and health! Please keep sending your good thoughts to baby Elsie. { thank. you}
Happy Spring Sunday

Random: she made me smile
Spring is around the corner and U.S. friends make sure turn your clock tonight, so we all can forward an hour ahead. Stella was busy today! She built a tent today and has decided to sleep under it tonight. Many quilts have been put in good use and that made me smile.

In the kitchen: {Lemond pudding}
Two weeks ago, the store was selling lemons by bags and I was craving the honey with lemon and tea the moment when I got them. The lemon sat for a week long and I didn't get the chance to make the tea. My friend stopped by and suggested I freeze the zest and juice before they gone bad. Later on, I read this blog post I was attempting all week long until this afternoon we came home. The first thing I asked Stella if she would in charge of squeeze the fresh lemon juice out while I watched the stirring the pot. As you can see she got more juice out than what we needed. Then she made a pitcher of fresh lemonade for tonight. Um.. These pudding really taste delicious... try yourself!

in the kitchen
It feels like spring is around the corner, but we had some " spring snow" came over last weekend. The temperature is increasing, but still is cold.During this time of the year it is hard to dress up for the day. I still have two scarves on me when I leave home in the early morning and of course I bundle up Stella with sweaters, hat, mittens, and scarf. I was craving for some summer food over the weekend and made some fresh salsa.I can't wait for the corn season to make everything from fresh. YUM! I am still adjusting the amount of the ingredients. I shall share it after this weekend. I will make another batch soon!

{Kerry's House}
I am still around, but haven't been able to do some fun sewing at home this week. Each week is going fast in my mind that means I keep busy each minute and each day. I really love that! I am waiting my fabric order to come, so I can start my swoon soon! well, have you visit Kerry's blog? I am her fan! I love her paper piecing and love her fabric choice. I mean, I adore her works! When Kerry celebrated her 2 years blog birthday she also shared a paper piecing pattern. I couldn't resist the little house! I couldn't! Last night, I sat down and began my first freezer paper piecing. YEAH, but as you can see I made the mistake that I didn't mirror the image. I laugh when I finished it!
It took me an hour or more from the start to finish. I think the hardest part was the fabric selection. Paper piecing doesn't require much fabric, but probably needs different fabrics in hand to play with. I used mostly scraps from the scraps bin.
I picture this house is a small style English house and with lots spring flowers blooming around. on the path way there are some vine sort of plants around. I needed a birdie somewhere, but I couldn't find a birdie print from my stashes.I need start looking for small prints fabric for these fun projects.
Oh! Kerry! you got my into this fun project and I couldn't resist! I will make the 6" then make a compare and contrast on them! I am sure I will be loving the tiny one more, but I shall let you know.
It is not perfect, but I will try more! The weekend is such relax and fun! We are enjoying it!
