Sew tiny!

It is fascinated how small pieces of cloth can do! I have always found them give endless possibilities and liberal process of patchwork. I love how linen provide the natural texture to it! It gives focus of individual cloth and lead the pleasure of touch and actually sewing as well!

If you are looking for a {wonky star} tutorial, I have written one a while ago and you may adjust the size of you block as desired. Tips sewing with linen? I have been making stitch length longer, so it doesn't stretch the linen much. Do you like sewing tiny cloth together?  In the corner of the studio has a box and lately have been filled! Oh, indeed there will be more sew tiny event here! Join me!

  1. These are so pretty! I might just have to make some. I think I will wash the linen first, though, as I've heard it shrinks but have never sewn with it before. Your thoughts?

  5. I love this. I am concerned about the extra shrinkage too. I saw a pretty piece at the fabric store that was 50 cotton 50 linen and it was so smooth but a looser weave. I think it would shrink so much? not sure. thoughts??

  7. Chase, this really makes me smile! For your readers with worries about cost and shrinkage of linen, I've had good luck getting preshrunk linen at affordable prices by buying thrift store clothing (largest sizes more fabric with fewer seams)
